Position Overview

Join the Veterans Health Administration at Wilmington VA Medical Center as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Practice to the full extent of your education, training, and certification, providing comprehensive anesthesia services in inpatient and outpatient settings for diverse patient complexities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care.
• Develop and implement anesthesia plans for local, regional, general, and monitored anesthesia inside and outside the OR.
• Prescribe preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, serve as a resource for staff education, precept trainees, and implement evidence-based practices.
• Provide peri-anesthetic support and emergency response.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship preferred.
• Unrestricted CRNA license from any U.S. State or territory.
• DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
• Proficient in English.
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Participate in seasonal influenza vaccination program.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $157,462 - $228,261 per year
• PTO: 50 days per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 federal holidays)

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM
• No telework or virtual option
