Position Overview

Join the Veterans Health Administration as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. Practice to the full extent of your education, training, and certification, providing advanced anesthesia services in inpatient and outpatient settings for diverse patient complexities. This permanent federal position emphasizes quality care, patient safety, and VA mission advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, anesthesia induction/maintenance/emergence, post-anesthesia care, and peri-anesthetic support.
• Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia plans for local, regional, general, and monitored anesthesia inside/outside the OR.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, prescribe medications (including controlled substances with DEA), and serve as a resource for staff education and precepting trainees.
• Promote evidence-based practices and exemplify ICARE values.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $183,145 - $265,496 per year
• Paid Time Off: 50 days annually (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 federal holidays)

Schedule & Call Requirements

• Work Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday-Friday day shifts

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship preferred; English proficiency required
• Graduation from accredited CRNA program; national certification
• Current unrestricted state license
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
• Influenza vaccination required
