Position Overview

Join the VA Central Texas Health Care System in Temple, TX as a Staff Anesthesiologist providing comprehensive anesthesia care to veterans. Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for anesthesia.
• Deliver general, neuraxial, regional nerve blocks, and monitored anesthesia care.
• Manage perioperative care, including in OR, PACU, ICU, and clinics.
• Supervise CRNAs and provide teaching/evaluation.
• Handle on-call duties covering nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Participate in quality monitoring, research, and CME activities.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) from accredited school.
• Board-eligible or certified (implied by full license requirement).
• Unrestricted US medical license.
• BLS/ACLS proficient.
• US Citizenship preferred; drug screening and background check required.

• VA Central Texas Health Care System, Temple, TX – teaching-oriented VA hospital serving veterans.
• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0700-1530, with required on-call.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $300,000 - $400,000 annually.
