Position Overview

Join the Miami VA Healthcare System's Anesthesiology Service as a part-time/intermittent Physician Anesthesiologist. Contribute to quality care in a VA academic hospital program. Ideal for experienced communicators and team players providing general, regional, neuraxial anesthesia, acute/chronic pain management, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-op consultations and evaluations
• General, regional, and neuraxial anesthesia
• Acute and chronic pain management (nerve blocks, epidurals, etc.)
• Arterial lines, central venous access, pulmonary artery catheters
• Airway management (intubation, cricothyrotomy, fiberoptic)
• Consultative services and multidisciplinary team coordination
• Supervise medical students, residents, and fellows

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) from accredited school
• Board-eligible or certified (implied for VA)
• U.S. citizenship preferred
• Unrestricted medical license
• Proficient in English
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $350,000 - $400,000 per year
• EDRP: Up to $200,000 student loan repayment (1-5 years)
• PTO: 50-55 days/year (26 annual, 13 sick, 11 federal holidays + 5 CME days)

Schedule & Call Requirements
