Position Overview

Join the Columbia VA Health Care System as a full-time Staff Anesthesiologist providing comprehensive anesthesia care to veterans. Work under the Chief of Anesthesia in Surgical Service, delivering general anesthesia, neuraxial blocks, nerve blocks, MAC, and perioperative management in OR, PACU, ICU, and clinics.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-op assessment and preparation
• Anesthesia administration and monitoring during procedures
• Post-op care and pain management
• Supervision of CRNAs and teaching/evaluation of staff
• On-call coverage
• Quality monitoring and CME participation
• Possible research and administrative duties

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) from accredited school
• Full, unrestricted U.S. medical license
• BLS/ACLS certification
• U.S. citizenship preferred; proficient in English
• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $123,077 - $400,000 per year
• PTO: 50-55 days/year (26 annual, 13 sick, 11 federal holidays + 5 CME days)

Schedule & Call Requirements
