VA Staff Anesthesiologist $300K-$400K | Seattle, WA

Position Overview

Join the VA Puget Sound Health Care System as a Staff Anesthesiologist at the Seattle VA Medical Center. Deliver veteran-centered anesthesia care, including perioperative management, acute pain service, and supervision of anesthesia teams with nurse anesthetists and trainees.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in OR, PACU, and other areas; handle emergent and non-emergent cases.
• Conduct pre-operative evaluations (in-person and Telehealth) and post-operative care.
• Lead anesthesia care teams; perform regional anesthesia and nerve blocks.
• Participate in QA/QI, morbidity/mortality reviews, staff meetings, and educational programs.
• On-call duty with 30-minute recall; assist in resuscitations and acute pain consultations.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) from accredited school.
• Board certification preferred (full-time CME requires it).
• Unrestricted US license; proficient in English.
• US Citizenship preferred; background check and drug screen required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $300,000 - $400,000 per year, plus performance bonus and increases.
• EDRP Loan Repayment: Up to $200,000 (1-5 years eligibility).
