Position Overview

Join the Veterans Health Administration as a full-time Anesthesiologist at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center near Johnson City, TN. Key Responsibilities

• Administer general, inhalation, intravenous, and regional anesthesia (spinal, epidural, peripheral nerve blocks).
• Place and interpret arterial and pulmonary artery catheters.
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and one-lung ventilation.
• Provide perioperative management, airway management, and acute pain management.
• Supervise CRNA staff, physician residents, and medical students.
• Assess, prepare, and monitor patients for anesthesia; manage critically ill patients.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) from accredited institution.
• Full, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
• U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens in limited cases).
• Board certification preferred for full CME reimbursement.
• Proficient in English; pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $350,000 - $400,000 annually.
